Collaborative divorce is a respectful, out-of-court approach to ending a marriage, where both partners commit to working together, with the support of trained professionals, to reach a mutually beneficial agreement. Unlike traditional litigation, this process centers on open communication, transparency, and shared goals, often including a mental health professional, attorneys, and a financial neutral. The goal is to preserve dignity, protect children, and prioritize emotional and relational wellbeing through a team-based lens.

Mediation is a voluntary, confidential process where a neutral third party (the mediator) helps individuals resolve conflict and reach agreements outside of court. Unlike a judge, the mediator does not make decisions, but rather facilitates conversation, supports problem-solving, and helps both parties find common ground. Mediation is often used for divorce, parenting plans, financial agreements, and more.
